 A beautiful brown eyed girl........

We were matched on January 21 with a 22 month old little girl from Fuzhou City,  China. We can hardly believe that after four years of waiting we are finally going to be parents. It is exciting and scary all at the same time. It is diffcilt to be so far away from your child. I worry about her and wonder what she is doing!! We are praying that we will travel at the end of May, the befgining of June! God has truely blessed us!!

Too Long...

It has been way too long since I have posted on my blog. So much has gone on in the last six months. We are still wanting for our adoption to be finalized. We are getting closer, but I believe that it'll be another year and a half or so. I am so anxious to met our little one, but for now, we have to wait. I daydream about her all the time. I am going to graduate school. I just finished my first semester and am about to begin another. I really enjoy it, but sometimes it feels overwhelming. Working full time and taking four graduate classes feels like too much, but I am committed. It does help pass the time while we wait for our Sarah. I love looking at all of the parent's blogs when they receive their referral. All of the babies are so beautiful. I can only imagine how excited that parents are. I can't wait for it to be us!

June is over.........

I have to admit I am relieved that June is over. We had a fun, tiring, and rewarding month. We went on a mission trip to Bryson City, North Carolina. About 28 of us from church. It was wonderful, but hot and tiring. I had the opportunity to head the trip which was fantastic. Although, there were times that I felt stressed because I am a "people pleaser" and if anyone was dissatisfied about something regarding the trip, I felt responsible. I know, I know I need to get over that. After the trip, we were home one week and had Kid's Adventure, our version of Vacation Bible School. I had the privilege of directing that also. Everyone worked so hard and we had around 100 children each evening. Wow! It was so good. The volunteers were amazing and never complained about being tired or stretched. So needless to say, last week I was so tired. This past weekend we didn't do much! I slept late, took naps, and spent time with Todd. Todd and I hadn't had much time together so it was great spending time together.

All that being said.....July is here.....and I am preparing for my sister, brother-in-law, and three children moving in with us for awhile and beginning school. Wow! I hope I make it! :)
